Nearly 600 middle and high school students from around the state flocked to the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds on Tuesday for the second annual AgriSTEM Expo, an event designed to bridge the gap between agriculture and technology. Hosted by the Troy University chapter of Alabama Technology in Motion (ATIM), the expo provided an engaging platform for students to explore the latest advancements in farming and technology.
The event featured a variety of interactive exhibits, hands-on workshops, and informative sessions led by industry professionals. Students had the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge agricultural technologies, including drones, automated systems, and sustainable farming practices. This year’s expo emphasized the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in shaping the future of agriculture.
Participants expressed excitement about the potential career paths available in the agricultural sector and the role of technology in enhancing food production.
